Psychotherapist UKCP reg. and Counsellor
Lysanne Sizoo started her counselling training in 1991 as a volunteer with the Hillingdon branch of the Samaritans. She then elected to deepen her training through a three-year BACP accredited counselling training at the central school for counselling and therapy CSCT.
She completed her CSCT Counsellor training in 1997, the same year she moved to Sweden. Focussing mainly on English speaking clients she built up a small practise, and then enrolled at the Psychosynthesis Academy in Stockholm, having chosen Transpersonal therapy as her specialisation. Her training was then completed in 2008 at the University of East London where she obtained a Masters degree in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, as well as the clinical license to practise Psychotherapy, registered with the UK registration body for Psychotherapy, the UKCP.
While this official regulatory body UKCP is recognised in most European countries, I need to point out that according to current Swedish law, I am not entitled to call myself leg. psykoterapeut, and therefore herewith state that I am not.
In 2009 she opened the Turning Point Counselling Center in Stockholm's Vasastan, offering counselling services to individuals, couples, and groups.
